IT Network Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a leading independent school in West London to recruit an experienced IT Network Manager. Reporting to the Director of Digital Strategy and IT, you will own the school’s technical infrastructure, act as the senior escalation point and drive improvements across networking, cloud services and security.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the entire network and infrastructure estate, including wired and wireless networks, switching, routing and firewall configuration.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex 3rd‑ and 4th‑line incidents.
• Design, implement and maintain on‑premise and cloud infrastructure, including Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage Active Directory, Azure AD and core identity services.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Lead and deliver IT projects from design through to rollout.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritise technical initiatives.
• Ensure cyber‑security controls are robust and up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Significant experience in a senior infrastructure, network or systems role, preferably within an education environment.
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues and deliver projects successfully.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with both technical and non‑technical staff.
• Experience mentoring or managing technical engineers.
