IT Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and software projects across the Harris Federation’s network of schools. The role will support students, teachers and staff by ensuring technology solutions are implemented on time, within budget and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage IT projects from initiation through to operational handover.
• Work closely with academy leaders, internal teams and external partners to define project scope, objectives and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure projects stay on schedule and budget.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and produce regular reports.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with the Federation’s strategic technology roadmap and educational goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure or software projects in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across schools and senior leadership.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to delivering technology that enhances learning outcomes.
