IT Project Manager – Manufacturing Sector (Contract)

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking experienced IT Project Managers to deliver critical infrastructure, networking and communications projects. The role is a six‑month fixed‑term contract based in Crewe, offering a dynamic environment where you will drive project success across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, manage critical paths and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise tasks, document deliverables and provide regular progress updates.
• Prepare weekly governance reports and ensure all programme standards are met.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, creating contingency plans as needed.
• Implement change control processes, documenting impacts on time, cost and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale, multi‑workstream IT programmes.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, networking and communications within industrial settings.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality‑assurance best practices.
• Prince2 certification or equivalent is preferred.
