IT Project Manager / PMO (6‑month FTC)

About the role

Our global manufacturing client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with strong PMO capabilities for a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of extension. The role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery, supporting multiple IT initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution, supplier management and fund allocation for IT initiatives.
• Produce finance‑focused reporting (approximately 30% of time) and organise portfolio activities (70%).
• Manage IT applications, including office suites, manufacturing systems and corporate tools.
• Improve efficiency in software licensing and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, project teams and external vendors.

Required profile

• Mid‑level IT project manager with proven programme delivery experience.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Experience across multiple projects and portfolios, preferably in sectors such as manufacturing, banking or utilities.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ready to start immediately and work on‑site in Paddington (3‑4 days a week, Friday remote).

Required skills

• Power BI for data analysis.
• Planview (preferred but not mandatory).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP, network infrastructure deployment and Microsoft Office suite.
• Understanding of IT project lifecycle dependencies.
