IT Project Manager – Technical Projects

About the role

Saab UK is seeking a motivated IT Project Manager to lead complex IT infrastructure and change projects across its UK operations. Reporting to the Senior IT Project Manager, you will plan, coordinate and deliver assigned workstreams, ensuring they meet time, scope and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end delivery of IT infrastructure and change projects from initiation through to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, coordinating internal teams and third‑party suppliers.
• Manage day‑to‑day project activities, track progress and raise risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ensure deliverables comply with quality and governance standards within Saab UK’s project management framework.
• Assist with budget tracking, forecasting and change control, communicating impacts on scope, schedule and cost.
• Collaborate with technical teams to coordinate IT changes across infrastructure environments.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide clear, timely updates.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, facilitating effective communication.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience delivering IT projects across the full project lifecycle.
• Ability to work with internal and external resources to meet project objectives.
• Strong organisational and risk‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

• Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
