IT Security Engineer – £65-70k, London (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established international business that is expanding its IT and cyber security capabilities. As an IT Security Engineer, you will work hands‑on to protect systems, infrastructure, and data, reporting to the IT Security Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security events across SIEM, EDR, endpoints and networks.
• Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Act as the escalation point for security issues, identify vulnerabilities and lead improvements.
• Support compliance with security standards and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with IT, Infrastructure and wider business teams.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role.
• Proven track record of investigating threats and incidents.
• Strong knowledge of security tools and frameworks, including ISO 27001.
• Experience working in SecOps, NetOps or similar environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft cloud services.
