IT Senior Auditor

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking an internal IT Senior Auditor to provide independent assurance across technology risk, security, resilience, internal controls and major technology change initiatives. This hands‑on role operates in a complex, regulated, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on IT audit engagements.
• Assess the effectiveness of security, resilience and technology controls.
• Perform detailed control testing and evidence reviews.
• Provide assurance for IT change, transformation and digital programmes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with technology and business stakeholders.
• Support high‑quality risk and control assurance activities.
• Contribute data‑driven insights to audit delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve audit methodology and ways of working.

Required profile

• Experience in IT audit, technology risk, IT assurance or technology controls.
• Strong knowledge of technical security and resilience controls.
• Experience reviewing IT change, transformation and project delivery risks.
• Understanding of risk management, governance and control frameworks.
• Exposure to data analytics and interest in technology‑led assurance.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC or CISSP are beneficial.

What we offer

• Salary £60,000‑£65,000 per year plus bonus structure.
