About the role
We are seeking an IT Service Centre Technician to join our client’s team in Swindon. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues, ensuring devices are returned to full working order.
Key responsibilities
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Assess repairs, identify faults and diagnose problems.
- Conduct fault finding on PCBs and replace SMD components.
- Fit field replaceable units (FRUs) as required.
- Test repaired products to confirm they meet quality standards.
- Utilise the CRM ticketing system to log and track work.
Required profile
- Strong organisational abilities and time‑management skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn job‑specific tools.
- Previous experience with repairs and operating systems is preferred, though training will be provided.
