IT Support Engineer (Field Services)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer who enjoys working directly with customers, solving technical challenges and building long‑term relationships. This home‑based position serves business customers across London and Greater London, combining remote assistance with on‑site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to business customers.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and networking issues.
• Install and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and business applications.
• Visit customer sites to resolve technical issues and carry out planned work.
• Assist with IT installations, upgrades and technology projects.
• Set up new users, devices and workstations while meeting agreed service levels.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Logical problem‑solving approach and ability to work independently from home.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to travel to customer sites.

• Server infrastructure – advantageous
• Cloud technologies – advantageous
• ITIL or CompTIA certifications – advantageous
