IT Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for day‑to‑day technical assistance across the company. You will work closely with People Operations and Engineering to keep our people, tools, and spaces connected and productive.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for user support, handling requests from intake to resolution.
• Own the Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) lifecycle, ensuring secure access is granted on Day 1.
• Maintain Edinburgh HQ office technology, including Wi‑Fi, LAN, conference‑room AV, and ISP relationships.
• Manage corporate endpoint inventory, support macOS and Windows devices, deploy security patches and report on security posture.
• Control user provisioning and license governance using a centralized RBAC framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal IT Operations, Systems Administration, or advanced IT Support, preferably in a fast‑growing tech environment.
• Process‑driven mindset with strong change‑management and service‑request handling skills.
• Proactive problem‑solver who enjoys collaborating and automating routine tasks.

Required skills

• macOS and Windows operating systems
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
• Wi‑Fi and LAN networking fundamentals
• AV equipment setup and ISP coordination
• Identity providers with SSO, MFA, and RBAC
• Jira Service Manager or similar ITSM tools
• IT automation and scripting basics
• Knowledge of PCI‑DSS or SOC2 compliance frameworks
• Google Workspace administration
