IT Support Specialist (Senior)

About the role

As a Senior IT Support Specialist you will be the primary point of contact for technical issues across a financial services organisation. Based in the Barbican, you will ensure day‑to‑day IT operations run smoothly and support the onboarding of new employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support to staff throughout the organisation.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Manage and maintain IT equipment, ensuring functionality and availability.
• Set up IT systems for new hires as part of the onboarding process.
• Monitor system performance, escalating incidents when necessary.
• Document technical processes and keep accurate support records.
• Assist with software updates and security patch deployments.
• Collaborate with the wider technology team to continuously improve IT services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive troubleshooting approach.
• Good communication skills to assist non‑technical colleagues.
• Attention to detail and ability to document processes clearly.
• Commitment to staying updated on new technologies and best practices.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary between £55,000 and £62,000, dependent on experience.
