IT Support Technician – Fixed-Term (2‑3 months)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established organisation in Gloucester, is seeking an IT Support Technician on a short‑term fixed‑term contract (2‑3 months). The role will support a series of business‑critical IT projects and day‑to‑day administration of Microsoft services. You will work in an office‑based, collaborative environment, delivering high‑quality user support and system administration.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify and remove user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts, licensing and Exchange Online mailboxes, shared mailboxes and distribution groups.
• Maintain mailbox permissions and user access controls.
• Support delivery of IT projects and business change initiatives.
• Ensure IT administration tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain and update technical documentation.
• Follow established IT processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong background in Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online administration.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Desirable: experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, involvement in IT project work, and familiarity with multi‑site retail environments.
