IT Systems Administrator – 6 Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join a fast‑paced IT team on a six‑month contract. The role centres on onboarding external contractors, ensuring they receive the right accounts, permissions, software and remote access to start work efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Handle Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML) processes, including security‑group and network‑share configuration.
• Configure and support VPN and virtual desktop remote‑access solutions.
• Prepare, deploy and configure contractor workstations and end‑user devices.
• Install software licences and provide first‑ and second‑line deskside and remote support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and access‑related issues.
• Collaborate with networking teams, project managers and third‑party partners for onboarding and connectivity.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contractor records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an IT Systems Administrator, IT Support Engineer or Desktop Support role.
• Strong background administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows desktop and Server environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage JML processes and VPN/remote‑access technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
