IT Technician – Manchester

About the role

Express Solicitors is seeking an IT Technician to join its IT team in Manchester. The successful candidate will help maintain and develop the firm’s IT infrastructure, providing day‑to‑day technical support to internal staff and ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer in‑house software and manage desktop support for Windows 10 environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printers, scanners, peripherals and mobile devices.
• Support the company’s telecoms system and security systems linked to the network.
• Maintain a comprehensive IT asset register.
• Provide occasional on‑site support at the Liverpool branch as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months (ideally 2 years) experience in IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows‑based operating systems and common troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of network infrastructure, computer hardware and peripherals.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to prioritise tickets based on business impact.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with the Proclaim case‑management system and Eclipse software is a distinct advantage.
