IT/Computing Lecturer (FE Level) – Part‑Time/Full‑Time

About the role

Reed FE is seeking an IT/Computing Lecturer to deliver high‑quality further education to learners aged 16‑19 across colleges, prisons and training providers in North‑West London. The role can be undertaken on a part‑time or full‑time basis and is temporary, offering flexible hours at a competitive rate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver IT/Computing lessons to 16‑19‑year‑old learners and apprentices.
• Assess student work, provide feedback and record outcomes in line with qualification standards.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Develop and maintain teaching resources and learning materials.
• Collaborate with college staff and external partners to support learner progress.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education.
• Assessor qualification (A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA or IQA) – or willingness to obtain.
• Level 3 or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing.
• Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑old students or apprentices.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
