IV Therapies Homecare Nurse

About the role

As an IV Therapies Homecare Nurse you will deliver high‑quality clinical care directly in patients' homes, workplaces or schools. You will administer IV infusions, parenteral nutrition and other injectable therapies while empowering patients to manage their own medication safely.

Key responsibilities

• Visit patients at their chosen location to provide IV infusions, home parenteral nutrition, intramuscular and sub‑cutaneous injections.
• Assess patient suitability, set up equipment, and monitor treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers on self‑administration of medication and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate updates to multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel extensively across the UK, adhering to scheduled appointments and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Demonstrated empathy and commitment to patient independence.
• Well‑organised, able to manage a self‑directed workload.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between patient sites.
• Basic IT proficiency for documentation and communication.

Required skills

• IV infusion administration.
• Home parenteral nutrition delivery.
• Intramuscular and sub‑cutaneous injection techniques.
• Patient education on medication self‑administration.
