Java Engineer – Camunda BPMN/DMN & Microservices

About the role

We are looking for Java Engineers to join our implementation team, delivering Camunda‑based workflow and decision automation for public‑sector clients. The role combines Java development, Spring Boot microservices, and API integration to build secure, scalable digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Camunda BPMN and DMN solutions.
• Implement Java microservices, REST APIs and connectors within orchestration flows.
• Translate BPMN/DMN models into executable, reusable components.
• Collaborate with solution architects, analysts and designers to refine business processes.
• Maintain automated test suites, CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments.
• Optimise Camunda engine performance and monitor workflow metrics in production.
• Participate in code reviews, peer testing and technical design discussions.
• Contribute to internal best‑practice frameworks and automation accelerators.

Required profile

• Residency in the UK for the past 5 years and willingness to obtain UK SC security clearance.
• Proven experience in Java software engineering and object‑oriented design.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and container technologies.
