About the role

Mirsis Information Technologies is seeking a Java Engineer to join its UK team, working on scalable enterprise applications, cloud‑native solutions and international projects across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain high‑performance Java applications and microservices.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services supporting business‑critical applications.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers and DevOps throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in technical design discussions, contribute to architectural decisions and optimise application performance.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
Proven experience in Java software development with strong knowledge of Java 8+ and OOP principles.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
Design and development of RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Relational databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server.
ORM frameworks: Hibernate, JPA.
Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ.
Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps.
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) – a plus.
Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
