Junior Accounts Assistant – Finance Support Role

About the role

This Junior Accounts Assistant position offers an excellent entry point into the accounting and finance sector. Based in Salford, you will support key financial operations and help keep the finance department running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.
• Process invoices and payments in line with company policies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries.
• Contribute to month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure data accuracy at all times.

Required profile

• Foundation in accounting or finance through coursework or qualifications.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new processes and systems.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
