Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk – Sales Ledger

About the role

This permanent position supports the finance team of a growing retail organisation. You will manage the sales ledger, process invoices and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the sales ledger with accurate, timely data entry.
• Process customer invoices in line with company policies.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Monitor outstanding debts and issue payment reminders.
• Prepare and distribute financial reports to the accounting team.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer queries.
• Support process improvements and best‑practice implementation in the ledger system.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of sales ledger management and basic accounting principles.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Experience in retail or a similar sector is preferred.
