Junior AWS DevOps Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Junior AWS DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology organisation delivering a major cloud infrastructure project. This fully remote position offers the chance to work on a greenfield environment, building secure, scalable and highly available solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines with Terraform, GitHub Actions and related automation tools.
• Monitor performance, ensure security and implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams from design through to deployment.
• Champion secure‑by‑design principles across all infrastructure activities.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in AWS cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and DevOps best practices.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a strong desire to learn.

Required skills

• AWS services: IAM, EC2, VPC, RDS, Lambda, Secrets Manager.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions.
• Containerisation: Docker.
• Operating systems: Linux.
• Scripting: Python, Bash.
• Desirable: Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PKI.
