Junior Bookkeeper – People‑Led Independent Firm

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Bookkeeper to join an independent, people‑focused accountancy practice. You will provide high‑quality outsourced bookkeeping services to a loyal client base, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Completing account and bank reconciliations
- Posting PAYE journals
- Providing full bookkeeping services for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Required profile
- Minimum 12 months of bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or a similar environment
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Comfortable working with both cloud‑based and traditional accounting platforms
Required skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero or Sage accounting software
- Experience preparing PAYE journals and handling payroll entries
