Junior Business Solutions Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Business Solutions Developer to join a forward‑thinking financial services firm managing over £5 billion in assets. Working in a small, hands‑on technology team, you will support internal business applications and gain exposure to enterprise‑level challenges in an agile, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal tools, automations and workflow systems using Microsoft Power Platform, Excel and SharePoint.
• Investigate and resolve system issues, fix bugs logged in the development log, and provide user support.
• Identify manual processes for automation, improve data quality, accessibility and reporting, and integrate internal systems.
• Collaborate with business colleagues to gather requirements and translate them into reliable solutions.
• Test changes before release, follow change‑control procedures and produce clear technical and user documentation.

Required profile

• Good experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and structured data.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, Outlook and SharePoint.
• Some hands‑on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate on the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Strong autonomy, attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
