Junior Buyer – Womenswear

About the role

As a Junior Buyer in the Womenswear team at COS, you will support the buying process by selecting products that align with the brand’s aesthetic and meet customer expectations. You will work closely with design, pattern, product, material and supply‑chain teams to help build a commercially strong assortment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating a customer‑relevant assortment, contributing to product, component, colour and material development.
• Support planning, analysis and delivery of component and product development, ensuring timelines, profitability and sustainability goals are met.
• Monitor sales, customer behaviour and market trends, providing insights for pricing and product decisions.
• Collaborate with Buying, Design, Pattern, Production, Supply Chain and Buying Controllers to align targets and workflows.
• Support and inspire Assistant Buyers while fostering an inclusive team environment.

Required profile

• Alignment with COS values: open‑minded, curious, innovative, improvement‑focused and ownership‑driven.
• Experience as a Junior Buyer or similar role, preferably in soft wovens.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret market trends and sales data.
• Fashion‑forward mindset with a high sense of style and trend awareness.

Required skills

• Knowledge of product and component development.
• Ability to analyse data and support pricing decisions.
• Effective communication and negotiation across cross‑functional teams.
