Junior CAD Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering graduate with AutoCAD experience to join a growing manufacturer of natural ventilation systems, louvres and acoustic solutions. This office‑based role offers specialist training, hands‑on project work and a clear pathway for long‑term career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and site teams on a variety of design projects.
• Assist with product design and development, submitting drawings for approval.
• Maintain drawing issue records and support project delivery.
• Order components where required and suggest improvements to designs and manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (BSc, BEng, MSc or MEng).
• Minimum six months’ experience using AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Organised, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of ventilation systems is advantageous but not essential.
• Eagerness to learn, develop and progress within the company.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
