Junior Client Accountant

About the role

This is a full‑time Junior Client Accountant position in a growing, forward‑thinking practice in Eastbourne. The role is ideal for an AAT Level 4 qualified professional who wants hands‑on client contact and a clear progression path towards managing their own portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Prepare corporation tax computations and supporting schedules
• Handle bookkeeping reviews and VAT returns
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Prepare Self Assessment returns and liaise with HMRC where required
• Build strong relationships with a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 qualification
• At least a couple of years’ experience in an accountancy practice
• Willingness to take ownership of client work and develop a long‑term career
• Motivation to progress from Junior Client Accountant to Client Manager

Required skills

• Xero (cloud‑based accounting software)

• Salary £30,000 – £35,000 per year, dependent on experience
