Junior CNC Operator – York (Full‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a recent graduate or apprentice with CNC machining training to join a world‑class aerospace, space and defence manufacturer. You will work on a variety of CNC machines in a supportive team environment, following a rotating weekday shift pattern.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a range of CNC mills, machining centres and lathes for high‑precision components.
- Follow Heidenhain control programmes and set‑up machines for each job.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training to become a technical expert across multiple machine types.
- Adhere to a weekly rotating shift schedule (Week 1: 6 am‑2 pm Mon‑Fri; Week 2: 1:45 pm‑11:30 pm Mon‑Thu) with every other Friday off.
Required profile
- Recently completed a college course, apprenticeship or similar covering CNC machining.
- Willingness to commute to York.
- Enthusiasm for working in the aerospace, space or defence sectors.
