Junior Contracts Manager – Development Programme

About the role

This position is designed for candidates with project or construction experience who want to progress into a Commercial & Contracts Manager role. You will receive mentoring from the Operations Director, start with smaller fit‑out projects and gradually take on larger schemes. Within 6‑12 months you are expected to manage projects independently, handling budgeting, procurement, forecasting and commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of multiple fit‑out projects across the UK.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, schedules and critical paths.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project budgets, valuations and gross‑profit performance.
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and senior directors.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and CDM regulations, conducting regular site visits to check quality and programme adherence.

Required profile

• At least 2 years’ experience in construction, fit‑out or a related industry.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Proven capability to build relationships with clients and site teams.
• Commercial awareness with an interest in developing financial management skills and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
