Junior Credit Controller (10‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Credit Controller to join our finance team at LRG’s Worthing office. In this 10‑month fixed‑term position you will support the collection of overdue payments, maintain accurate customer ledgers and contribute to the smooth month‑end close, while developing your credit management skills in a fast‑growing property business.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone, email and letter to chase overdue invoices and resolve payment queries within agreed time‑frames.
• Maintain and reconcile individual debtor accounts, ensuring balances are up‑to‑date.
• Process and allocate incoming payments, flagging discrepancies for further investigation.
• Support the finance team in meeting month‑end deadlines, including reporting on arrears and cash flow impact.
• Escalate complex disputes to senior staff and assist with resolution strategies.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or 0‑2 years’ experience in finance, accounting or credit control.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a personal ledger of accounts.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn industry‑specific processes.
