Junior Credit Controller

About the role

This entry‑level Credit Controller role is based in Luton and is ideal for candidates seeking their first or second position in finance. You will join a supportive team, reporting to a Supervisor and ultimately to the Credit Manager, with clear pathways for development and professional qualification after the probation period.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and internal operations teams to resolve account queries.
• Contact customers by phone and email to build relationships and facilitate timely collections.
• Implement debt‑collection processes for aged receivables, including telephone and email outreach.
• Maintain accurate customer details and account records.
• Chase and collect overdue payments while preserving customer goodwill.
• Assist with sales invoicing and general accounts team tasks.
• Process and allocate payments, including handling unallocated amounts.
• Update and suggest improvements to spreadsheets and databases.
