Junior Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Join The Portfolio Group's growing ICT Department as a Junior Cyber Security Analyst. Based at our Manchester head office, you will start your career in a cloud‑first security environment, learning to protect a global estate while working alongside a diverse IT team.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day security operations and monitoring across the organisation.
• Analyse security alerts and incidents, escalating where appropriate.
• Manage tickets and requests using Halo ITSM.
• Assist with investigations and incident response for malware, phishing, data loss and network intrusions.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Development, DevOps and Service Desk teams to understand security’s role in business processes.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, quick learner with a genuine passion for cyber security.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving attitude.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and eager to develop communication skills.
• Willingness to study for relevant certifications and pursue continuous learning.
