About the role
Join KnowBe4's Threat Research Lab as a Junior Cybersecurity Threat Researcher, supporting the deployment and configuration of security solutions and helping protect organizations from emerging threats.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in deploying and maintaining cybersecurity products in lab environments.
- Support inventory management of licenses and updates.
- Collaborate with team members on various cybersecurity projects.
- Review, understand, and reverse‑engineer attacks and related technologies.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to influence tactical and strategic direction.
- Provide Sales, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams with up‑to‑date threat intelligence.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Internship experience or up to one year of experience in cybersecurity preferred.
- Basic understanding of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and threat analysis.
- Familiarity with scripting for task automation.
- Detail‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience analyzing malicious URLs and phishing emails.
