About the role
We are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join our specialist engineering team in Leicester. You will gain hands‑on experience working on bespoke machinery projects for the pharmaceutical industry, receiving training and mentorship from experienced engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Design bespoke machinery using 3D CAD.
- Support projects from concept through to completion.
- Assist with project engineering and delivery activities.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare engineering documentation and support design reviews.
- Assist with installation, commissioning and customer handovers.
Required profile
- Experience as a Junior, Graduate or Mechanical Design Engineer or similar.
- Experience designing bespoke machinery, special‑purpose equipment or mechanical products (industry, placement or apprenticeship).
- Experience using a 3D CAD package.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.
