Junior Discretionary Trader

About the role

As a Junior Discretionary Trader you will join a senior trading team in Central London and receive hands‑on training and mentorship. You will support daily portfolio monitoring, hedging activities and collaborate with quantitative researchers to refine trading strategies across multiple asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior traders in tracking and adjusting portfolio positions on a daily basis.
• Work with researchers to identify and evaluate new trading opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on profit & loss and risk exposure.
• Support the execution of hedging strategies and carefully handled trades.

Required profile

• Recent or soon‑to‑be graduate with a quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
