Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a recent graduate eager to start a career in geoenvironmental engineering with a well‑established environmental consultancy. You will join a supportive team delivering innovative solutions for contaminated land, geotechnical and environmental projects across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments and Desk Studies.
• Support and carry out Phase 2 intrusive ground investigations.
• Perform soil and rock logging, sampling, and groundwater/gas monitoring.
• Coordinate environmental and geotechnical laboratory testing.
• Interpret site investigation data and contribute to risk assessments.
• Prepare factual and interpretative technical reports and liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.

Required profile

• A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in contaminated land and geoenvironmental consultancy.
• Understanding of ground investigations and environmental risk‑assessment principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for site work across the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
