Junior Independent Financial Adviser – Desk Based

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Independent Financial Adviser to work from our Edinburgh office. This desk‑based position offers the chance to develop a client portfolio, deliver high‑quality financial planning advice and grow within a supportive firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated client base and generate new client enquiries.
• Convert leads into advice income and meet annual new‑business revenue targets.
• Undertake sales and marketing activities in line with regional and national plans.
• Provide independent, compliant financial advice and produce reports using approved templates.
• Maintain ‘fit and proper’ status through continuous professional development and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure timely client communication and a positive service experience.
• Develop relationships with external professionals to create additional business opportunities.

Required profile

• Working towards or already holding a CAS qualification (Level 4 diploma).
• Experience as a paraplanner is desirable.
• Strong desire to become a successful financial planner.
• Ability to work in a new‑business environment and meet revenue targets.
