Junior IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Junior IT Support Engineer to join a growing business on the outskirts of Bishop’s Stortford. This full‑time position offers a supportive environment where you can develop your technical skills while delivering first‑ and second‑line support to users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to internal users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Set up and configure laptops, PCs and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts, passwords and permissions in Active Directory.
• Log and update support tickets.
• Assist with IT projects and system improvements.
• Deliver excellent customer service across the business.

Required profile

• Commercial IT support experience (1st or 2nd line).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Passion for IT and technology.
• CompTIA A+ certification or studying towards it (highly desirable).
