Junior Knitwear Designer – Creative Team

About the role

We are looking for a talented Junior Designer specializing in knitwear and jersey to join our Mainline Design team. You will own the design and development process from concept to launch, working closely with a Senior Designer and cross‑functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Translate seasonal design direction into finished knitwear and jersey products.
• Research trends, develop mood boards, and build colour and yarn stories.
• Create and present designs, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with technical, sampling, and sourcing teams, providing detailed design briefs and reviewing prototypes.
• Select sustainable fabrics, trims, and accessories.
• Prepare accurate tech packs for factory production.
• Support the Senior Designer in exploring new fabrics, trims, and logo concepts.

Required profile

• Strong creative eye with a solid understanding of knitwear and jersey construction.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple styles in a fast‑paced calendar.
• Ability to work collaboratively across design, graphic, technical, and sourcing teams.
• Passion for sustainability and brand integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD drawing using Procreate or Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of knit construction, yarn properties, gauge, and stitch techniques.
• Experience creating tech packs and detailed design documentation.
