Junior Maintenance Engineer – Days Shift

About the role

A well‑established business in Tilbury is seeking a Junior Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team on a continental days shift (7 am‑7 pm). The role focuses on maintaining and improving production and warehouse equipment to maximise uptime and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of production and warehouse machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automated conveyor systems, packaging lines and handling equipment.
• Collaborate with an experienced engineer on‑shift and receive weekend engineering support.
• Identify faults, carry out repairs and implement improvements to enhance reliability.

Required profile

• Practical mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background.
• Experience in a warehouse, food‑production, packaging or manufacturing environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and good problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
