Junior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)

About the role

Join a reputable building services provider in the City of London as a Junior Maintenance Engineer. You will work alongside senior engineers to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems in a commercial building.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lighting installations, fault‑finding and lamp replacements.
• Carry out emergency lighting and fire alarm tests.
• Maintain plant rooms, including air handling units and fan coil units (filter changes and cleaning).
• Service control panels and replace ballasts.
• Monitor BMS systems for heating and cooling performance.
• Execute all aspects of M&E and fabric maintenance and keep accurate log books.
• Undertake basic plumbing tasks such as unblocking toilets and servicing pumps and motors.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Level 3 electrical qualification or City & Guilds Level 2 mechanical qualification.
• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Hard‑working attitude with good communication skills.
• Ability to work client‑facing and follow health & safety procedures.
