Junior Mechanic / Fitter

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanic / Fitter to join a well‑established maintenance provider supporting Heathrow Airport. The role involves performing both planned and reactive maintenance on non‑motorised ground support equipment, helping keep airport operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs on ground support equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve unscheduled breakdowns efficiently.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex tasks and learn new maintenance techniques.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Support the team in achieving external qualification and certification goals.

Required profile

• Basic experience or training in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
• Enthusiasm to develop practical skills on the job.
• Ability to work safely in an airport environment.
• Willingness to pursue further qualifications and certifications.
