Junior Merchandiser

About the role

Mountain Warehouse is a fast‑growing global outdoor retailer. We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Merchandiser to support the Merchandiser in delivering seasonal category performance and to help drive our growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support the merchandiser in developing seasonal category strategy, including sales, buying and options, using analysis to quantify risks and opportunities.
• Take ownership of selected departments for range building, buying quantities, stock management and pricing.
• Manage the WSSI for chosen departments under the merchandiser’s guidance.
• Optimise online and in‑store availability of best‑sellers, ensuring appropriate stock levels and reviewing line reports weekly.
• Identify and communicate sales/stock risks and opportunities across regions and channels, adjusting pricing and markdowns to maximise sell‑through and profit.
• Ensure intake phasing aligns with weekly PTS requests and that sufficient stock is shipped to MW warehouses.

Required profile

• Experience at Junior Merchandiser or Senior Assistant Merchandiser level or equivalent.
• Expert‑level proficiency with systems and planning tools.
• Good knowledge of B&M systems and retail supply‑chain processes.
• Commercial mindset, energy and passion for retail.
