Junior Multimedia Designer – Events

About the role

FT Live is looking for a Junior Multimedia Designer to produce motion, video and visual content for its global events portfolio. Working within a close‑knit team of nine designers, you will support senior staff, create assets for LED screens, and help capture event footage.

Key responsibilities

• Create video and animation assets for FT Live events, including content for LED screens of various sizes and aspect ratios.
• Support event videography and photography, capturing b‑roll, interviewing attendees and documenting sessions.
• Collaborate with audio‑visual and production teams on room layouts, lighting, filming and live streaming.
• Develop design briefs with marketing, manage timelines, budgets and delivery expectations.
• Storyboard concepts, produce pre‑ and post‑event videos for social media, event screens and websites.
• Design static promotional graphics, HTML‑animated ads, print pieces and large‑scale repro.
• Maintain event asset templates and ensure consistent motion‑design standards.
• Assist in managing external creative and production suppliers.

Required profile

• Recognised design qualification and a portfolio showcasing strong motion‑design work.
• Enthusiasm for typography, graphic design, video and emerging AI tools.
• Collaborative communication style and ability to work across disciplines.
• Desire to develop technical, creative and interpersonal skills quickly.
