Junior PCB Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior PCB Design Engineer with 1‑2 years of industrial or internship experience to join our small technology company in Great Chesterford. You will work alongside multidisciplinary engineers and learn directly from our Senior PCB Designer while contributing to high‑quality board designs.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain component libraries and generate manufacturing outputs.
• Translate schematics into structured PCB layouts using Altium.
• Perform component placement, routing, and apply design rules.
• Support design reviews and follow established PCB design processes.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimise RF, digital, analogue and power PCB trade‑offs.

Required profile

• HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent practical experience in electronics or PCB design.
• 1‑2 years of industrial or internship experience in PCB layout.
• Enthusiasm for PCB design and a desire to build a long‑term career in the field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Altium Designer.
