Junior Proposals Engineer

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career professional to develop a career in engineering and technical sales within the UK water‑treatment sector. You will work alongside experienced engineers, receiving training and guidance while supporting the preparation of accurate proposals for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in gathering customer requirements for new enquiries.
• Support site surveys and collect project information.
• Work with colleagues and suppliers to obtain technical and commercial data.
• Help prepare accurate quotations and proposals.
• Update and maintain proposal information in internal systems.
• Follow up quotations and maintain regular communication with customers.
• Assist with handover of successful projects to the delivery team.

Required profile

• HNC/HND, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline (or working towards one).
• Some experience in engineering, technical, customer service or administration is beneficial but not essential.
• Keen to learn and develop within a technical engineering environment.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
