Junior Retail CAD Technician

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Retail CAD Technician to join our store support team. In this role you will create accurate CAD drawings that support new store fits, refits and visual merchandising projects across our retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Produce precise CAD drawings, floor plans, elevations and technical details for store fit‑outs and merchandising initiatives.
• Translate design briefs and site surveys into buildable drawings and specification packs.
• Coordinate with store operations, project managers and contractors to ensure compliance with health & safety and operational requirements.
• Prepare and issue technical documentation, schedules and material lists for procurement and installation.
• Maintain and update CAD drawing libraries, templates and drawing standards.
• Review contractor submissions for compliance and provide technical guidance.
• Support on‑site visits, record measurements and assist with resolving technical queries during installation and snagging.

Required profile

• Proven experience producing technical CAD drawings (AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent).
• Experience with retail or fit‑out projects is desirable.
• Good understanding of construction principles, joinery and shopfitting practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, dimensioned drawings.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• Organised approach with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to stores for surveys.
