Junior Service Engineer – Packaging Machinery

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Service Engineer to join a global manufacturer of packaging machinery. You will be based in the South East, travelling to customer sites across a regional patch to install, maintain and repair electro‑mechanical equipment. This is a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position with full training and clear progression pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning and routine maintenance on packaging machinery at customer locations.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and automation faults.
• Provide on‑site technical support and ensure equipment operates to specification.
• Document service activities and report findings to the engineering team.
• Travel safely between sites using a company‑provided van.

Required profile

• Engineering background with a focus on electrical or mechanical systems.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to live anywhere between London and Birmingham.
• Motivation to develop a career in a global manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Electrical knowledge.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Automation and troubleshooting abilities.
• Installation and commissioning experience (or training).
