Junior Site Environmental Health & Safety Co-ordinator

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Junior Site Environmental Health & Safety Co-ordinator for its Haverhill manufacturing site. The role is on-site and focuses on EHS administration and coordination within a team of three professionals who support your learning and development from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the EHS function
• Maintain EHS records, training documentation, compliance data and department databases
• Coordinate health & safety training and occupational health appointments
• Support reporting, tracking and follow-up of incidents, near misses and corrective actions
• Prepare EHS reports, presentations and performance metrics for site leadership
• Take part in workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Promote a positive safety culture with employees, contractors and managers
• Coordinate waste management and environmental compliance records
• Spend time in production to understand operations and support practical EHS improvements

Required profile

• Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or operational support role
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Proactive, willing to learn and able to take ownership

Required skills

• Good Microsoft Office skills and ability to use multiple systems and databases
• Advantage: experience supporting Health & Safety, Quality, Manufacturing or Compliance activities
• Advantage: awareness of EHS legislation, auditing or risk management processes
• Advantage: IOSH Working Safely or similar certification
