Junior Software Engineer – Full‑Stack (Java/React)

About the role

Tripadvisor’s Experiences Engineering team is looking for a curious, high‑potential Junior Software Engineer. In this full‑stack position you will work with Java, SQL, React, AWS and AI‑assisted coding tools to build and maintain the marketplace that powers millions of travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full software lifecycle – design, code, test and deploy – releasing code to production on a near‑daily basis.
• Collaborate with product, design and data teams to understand the “why” behind features.
• Leverage AI coding assistants for boiler‑plate, unit tests and small refactors, using them as a learning multiplier.
• Write clean, readable solutions with strong automated unit and integration test coverage.
• Engage in design reviews, ask questions and incorporate feedback to continuously improve technical skills.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of professional experience after a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid grasp of computer‑science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and object‑oriented programming.
• Exposure to full‑stack web development and familiarity with at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, C#, Go, Python).
