Junior Sous Chef – Luxury Restaurant in Dedham

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen brigade of an established luxury restaurant in the picturesque village of Dedham. You will help deliver high‑quality dishes while supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a busy, high‑standard kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Work confidently across all kitchen sections, including pastry, larder, sauce and garnish.
• Maintain exceptional standards during food preparation, service, hygiene and kitchen close‑down.
• Assist with ordering, stock control and up‑holding kitchen standards.
• Contribute ideas for menu development, seasonal dishes and weekly specials.
• Support and mentor junior team members, leading by example.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality fresh‑food kitchen, including sauce work.
• Strong knowledge of ingredients, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Passion for seasonal cooking and sourcing quality produce.
• Ambition to progress into a Junior Sous Chef role.
• Positive attitude, excellent organisational skills and ability to thrive in a busy environment.
